DirtInfo's World Finals Gauntlet

Howdy and welcome! We're pretty excited to announce our first Gauntlet!

So what is it? Well, it's a series of nine private DirtDraft contests across three classes (WoO Sprints, WoO Late Models, SDS Big Blocks) spanning all three days of the World Finals from The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We will be awarding prizes to four winners at the conclusion of the Gauntlet; three Class Champions and an overall Gauntlet Champion.

Here's everything you need to know:

Prizes:

Class Champions will receive a case of Victory Fuel (12 cans) and a DirtInfo Hat.

The Gauntlet Champion will receive a case of Victory Fuel, a DirtInfo Hat, and a handmade Carbon & Heart Supply Co. wallet. (Editor Note: We previously hoped to award a wallet which could be personalized with a name, initials, or quote of your choosing, however, in conjunction with Carbon & Heart Supply Co., we chose an wallet option that is not customizable.)

Becoming a Champion
Daily Contests:
We have set up individual private contests for each class on each day. Each contests has an entry fee of 100 DirtDraft points. The top three in each individual contest will receive the following payout of the collected pot: 1st place - 50%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 20%. The more people that enter, the bigger the payout to the top three.

Each individual contest will feed into cumulative point totals: One for each Class and a cumulative Gauntlet total which will encompass all nine individual contests. There is effectively no limit to amount of participants.

Class Champions:
There will be three Class Champions, one each for Sprints, Late Models, and Big Blocks. The DirtInfo team will track points across each Class for all three days. The entrants with the highest cumulative score after all three contests in each of the three Classes will win a prize package.

In the event of a tie, we will determine a winner as follows:
If one entrant is the Gauntlet Champion, Class Champion will be awarded to the non-Gauntlet Champion.

If neither is the Gauntlet Champion, but one entrant is a Class Champion in another class, Class Champion of the tied class will be awarded to the entrant without a Class Championship.

If one entrant is a DirtInfo Team Member (Myself, WhoaNellyRacing, P1 Nation), the non-DirtInfo Team Member will be award Class Champion.

If none of the tied class entrants meet one of these exclusions, the tied entrants will be given the option to split the prize (We have extra hats, you won't be getting half a hat) or to pick a number and the closest (Price is Right Rules are not in effect) to the DirtInfo Secret Tie Break Number (which has already been chosen) will be awarded Class Champion.

If a multi-way tie occurs, exclusions will be applied first and any remaining entrants will be given the option to split the prize or pick a number.

Gauntlet Champion:
There can only be one Gauntlet Champion. The entrant with the highest cumulative score across all nine individual contests (3 Sprint, 3 Late Model, 3 Big Block) will be awarded the Gauntlet Champion.

In the event of a tie, any DirtInfo Team Member will be automatically excluded and we will go directly to the DirtInfo Secret Tie Break Number.

If you're at all like us, you're wondering what's the catch. Honestly, we're kinda hip, with it, and don't like catches, so there aren't any. We just want you to play, compete, and have fun.

RESULTS - 11/6/23
Thank you to everyone who participated in the DirtInfo World Finals Gauntlet! The team and I had a blast hosting this contest. We've learned somethings along the way and we hope to do another one in the near future. Without everyone take the pains to join each individual contests, day-after-day, have their notifications just get blown up by me, or engage with the Tweets and Posts none of this could have happened. We'd have been a couple of folks screaming into the void and competing amongst ourselves. Sincerely, thank you for taking your time to participate, it means more than you can imagine.

CONGRATS racer809 for taking on the Guantlet. My guy won the Big Block Class Championship, tied for the Late Model Class Championship, and ultimately took home the big prize! Well done, sir!
