Last Minute Decisions Result in Big Paydays!
I put my finger on something I've always liked about modifieds but maybe never fully appreciated. The fact that a large number of these drivers fabricate and race their own chassis. It's a refreshing throwback to an earlier era of racing.

"What makes a good show?" Notice I didn't say race, as that is more or less something we can all agree on. But the race is just one part of the show, especially for big money, spectacle type events.

It seemed to me that both title contenders are ready and willing to go toe-to-toe this season and that there may be some rubbing, touching, and squeezing along the way. I'm here for it. There is nothing like a good rivalry and points battle to make a season more memorable.

We might be in for quite the battle this season! Jim Chisholm and Kyle Strickler made quick and repeated acquaintance this weekend, with โincidentsโ in both features.

What are we supposed to do now? With the WoO Late Models putting an emphatic stamp on Speedweeks Saturday, we've entered a bit of a lull, if not an unofficial offseason.
