No qualifying last night based on points format from Thursday and Friday.  Top 8 in points were locked in.  Everyone else lined up in 3 B-mains. The top 5 advanced into the A-main. Plus a sprinkling of Provisionals as needed.

B-main #1 Keith Foss
B-main #2 Rodney Sanders
B-main #3 Joe Chisholm.  Joe Duvall was originally scored the winner.  After a visit in the tech barn, Big Daddy was DQ. Duvall would need to use a provisional.  Thanks to Mr. Duvall for saying that on social media.  Unless I missed it when I was taking my dog Otto outside for a break, I didn't hear it on the broadcast.  This had me suspicious how you can win a b-main yet started in the back. Things I hope to catch and report when I'm at the track in a timely manner.

Non Qualifier Feature: Dustin Hodges

26 Car Field 3 wide start.

Provisionals went to Kyle Brown, Henry Chambers, Joe Duvall and Jake O'Neil.

Next Race: April 4th and 5th at Boothill Speedway, Greenwood, Louisiana.

1) King Cade the XIV:  Added another USMTS crown jewel to his modified career.  He also won the 2017 Featherlite Fall Jamboree in a spirited champion battle with Jason Hughes.  Took advantage of a restart and pulled away for the $20,000 win.  This was on the bucket list for him and his car owners Mr. and Mrs. Sprinkle.  He has always been grateful for the opportunities they have given the Dillard family.

2) Jim Chisholm: Top 3 run after starting on the front row 3 wide start.  Just missed a little bit against Cade this time around.  Has to be happy seeing the Skyrocket/Balance Speed customers have a good weekend.

3) Bobby Williams: Up until this weekend, Bobby has never ran this many laps in a feature.  His team learned what not to do after Friday night and ran the game plan to near perfection.  The team has a lot to be proud of with his Skyrocket/Balance Speed package.  He'll be one to watch as he chases the Heartland Tour championship.

4) Dustin Sorensen: A top 5 finish to end his off weekend from his Outlaw late model commitments.  Good weekend for the #19 as they continue to develop the Longhorn by Sorensen for customers.

5) Tanner Mullens: Started on the pole and led around 43 laps.  Tires sealed up and that's all it took on the restart to fall back.  I try to keep a positive outlook when I do recaps so I'll mention this: This weekend was another good outcome for the team especially after the struggles of last year.  The Mullens chassis is showing a lot of promise through the positive comments I've read from his drivers.

6) Rodney Sanders: Good rebound after a rare night of blown tires and last lap mishap.  I may sound like a broken record for some drivers but it is true.  You won't see very often the 20 team has back to back bad nights.  They'll keep their heads down, regroup and put together a typical team 20 night.

7) Stormy Scott:  Adapting nicely to his CDR race car as he returns back to modifieds.  With a "outlaw schedule" Stormy will likely be able to attend a variety of tracks and series.  Donโ€™t be surprised to see him in victory lane soon.

8) Carlos Ahumada Jr: A former prelim winner of King of America back at Humboldt Speedway. As custom with the 65, more than likely if he starts in the back, you'll see him as the hard charger at the end of the night.

9) Joe Chisholm: After a DQ in the b-main, able to start a little further in the field.  A good rebound after the previous night he wasn't able to start the feature due to a parts failure.  The team rebounded and had a spirted battle with TP at the end of the feature.  Good points night jumping back to 4th.

10) Terry Phillips: Just like Joe, Terry rebounded from a DNF the previous night.  Started 5th in the feature and ran in the top 3 for the first 1/3 of the race.  Nights like this will continue in the development of his Bloodline Race Cars on what it likes and doesn't for longer feature races.

Honorable Mention: Fast Shafts awarded King Cade the XIV with a new driveshaft and $500.  They've done a lot for the series and drivers throughout the years  It's good to see them continue this tradition after a ownership change and the prior owner developing this product at a new company.

Honorable Mention 1.2: The staff at Lucas Oil Speedway.  They welcomed the King of America with open arms after a long and storied history at Humboldt Speedway. The partnership with USMTS/USRA and Lucas Oil Speedway continues to grow and prosper with multiple events now on the calendar.

A modified version of the Recliner Reactions those nights will still be available.
